This is Kelly, designer of the gorgeous dress you can see on our homepage and the owner of what is potentially the most marvellous name in the history of fashion design.
Take a look at her profile to find out about her design background and her adventures at Australian Fashion Week. I think you should give serious thought to buying some of her creations and adopting her – but I'm biased.
To help you convince you of
her merits, I asked her these questions, which we found on LoveandFriends.com's
article about getting to
know a first date. If they don’t reveal her innermost character, I
don’t know what will.
CWG: What would you do if your company gave you a one-year paid sabbatical?
Kelly: I would have much more time for my
own label and would do a lot more intricate work such as hand beading and
designing my own fabrics. I would also travel to the places at the top of my
list - Morocco, Budapest and Israel and spend time with my best friend
who's about to have a baby!
CWG: Go on - share an embarrassing moment.
Kelly: Getting
stuck in the doors of the tube this morning whilst running late...I am still
getting used to how fast the doors shut on London trains! I am always
the one thinking "Just wait for the next train! It comes in one
minute!" I should listen to my own advice!
CWG: What would you save if your house were on fire?
Kelly: At
the moment my clothes and my phone (very shallow!) but I have just moved
to London so I don't have much here yet!
CWG: What's the biggest misconception people have about you?
Kelly: None
that I know of - what you see is pretty much what you
get.
CWG: What, if anything, are your regrets?
Kelly: I wish I had taken more photos when I was travelling around Asia and living in Japan. I have so many crazy memories in my head but I never had my camera ready! Especially in Tokyo around Harajuku.
So now that you’re suitably acquainted, go and check out Kelly’s
work.
